Chris Trujillo was born and raised in Socorro, New Mexico. His parents were deeply involved in the San Miguel Church, and his father, Mike A. Trujillo, served the community as a Judge for 23 years until his passing. Growing up in a household centered on faith, service, and integrity laid the foundation for Chris’s lifelong commitment to serving others and sparked his early interest in law enforcement.

Chris proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. He went on to complete a distinguished 23-year career as a New Mexico Certified Police Officer before retiring from law enforcement. His service reflects a lifelong dedication to protecting, serving, and standing beside families during their most difficult moments.

At home, Chris is a devoted husband to his wife, Felicia, and a proud father of 7 children. Family is the center of his life, and he treasures every moment spent with them. That same sense of care, loyalty, and responsibility carries into his work with the families he serves.

Chris has been involved in the funeral profession for over 14 years, gaining experience in every aspect of funeral service. He previously served as General Manager of another funeral home for 14 years before it was sold to a corporation. Witnessing the growing influence of corporate mandates and profit-driven decisions, Chris recognized the need for a locally owned funeral home—one that truly understands its community and puts families first.

With that vision, Chris and Felicia Trujillo opened Trujillo Family Funeral Home on April 1, 2022. Their 6,000-square-foot facility was built to provide compassionate care, transparent options, and honest pricing—without pressure or hidden agendas. Chris is bilingual and proudly serves both English- and Spanish-speaking families.

Trujillo Family Funeral Home is locally owned, operated, and U.S. Army Veteran owned. When you walk through our doors, you will meet our owner. Chris and his staff are your neighbors—you see them at church, school, local sporting events, and throughout the community. Our single focus is simple: provide the highest quality service and exceptional value while treating every family with dignity, respect, and compassion.

At Trujillo Family Funeral Home, our approach is straightforward and transparent. We believe families should never feel pressured or sold to during a time of grief. Chris Trujillo is personally available throughout the care of your loved one and remains accessible even after services conclude. We are grateful for the trust you place in us, and we are committed to earning and honoring that trust every step of the way.
