Yvonne Esther Maestas

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Yvonne Maestas, who left this world at home on July 16, 2025, at the age of 75. Yvonne was not just a wife and mother; she was a source of love and light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born and raised in the vibrant San Jose neighborhood, Yvonne enriched her early years through education at St. Francis and Holy Ghost Catholic schools, Highland High School, and ultimately graduated from Albuquerque High. Her spirit of service led her to dedicate many years to the retail and service industries, where her warmth and kindness touched countless lives until her retirement.

Above all, Yvonne cherished her role as a mother. She is survived by her loving son, "Rel" Maestas, and her devoted husband, "Santiago." Her family bonds extended to her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Yolanda and Michael Kline, as well as cherished nieces Amber and Noel. Yvonne’s brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Emily Marquez, along with niece Deven and nephew Elijah, also gathered to celebrate her life in her final days, reminding us all of the love that surrounded her.

As we navigate this difficult time, we invite you to keep Yvonne and our family in your thoughts and prayers. Arrangements for services are yet to be confirmed, and we will share details as they come.

Let us remember Yvonne for her compassion, strength, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Services will be held at Church of the Ascension 2150 Raymac Rd. SW. The vigil begins at 5:00pm and Rosary 6:00pm on Sunday, 7-27-2025. 

The funeral mass begins at 10:00am on Monday 7-28-2025 at the Church of the Ascension 2150 Raymac Rd. SW. The Burial to follow at Los Padillas Cemetery around 11;30
