Yvette Louise Chavez 55, our beloved mother, daughter and sister was called home by the Lord on February 23rd, 2024. Born on April 6th, 1968 in Albuquerque, NM. Yvette lived a life marked by diligence, generosity, and a deep commitment to her family and community.

Yvette was a dedicated individual who retired from the City of Albuquerque working for the Office of Senior Affairs, the Animal Welfare, and the Environmental Health Department. Yvette was known for her remarkable work ethic, generous spirit, and willingness to help others. Always smiling, Yvette's presence would light up any room, she loved being around children and always prioritized her family. Yvette’s passions included family gatherings, exploring new places, visiting the casinos, and lending a helping hand wherever it was needed.

Yvette will be deeply missed by her loved ones. She is survived by her son, Andrew Chavez; mother, Laverne Garcia; brother, Max Orlando Chavez III; stepbrothers, Rick and Michael Garcia; stepsister, Eileen Garcia; and goddaughters, Brittany Chavez and Angel Martin. Yvette will also be missed dearly by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and the many friends she made throughout her journey in life.

She is preceded in death by her father, Max Chavez Jr; stepfather, Mike Garcia; sister, Erica Chavez; and maternal grandmother, Senaida L. Sanchez. Yvette was a faithful member of Calvary Chapel where her presence will be deeply missed.

Her family invites those who were touched by Yvette's generous spirit to join in commemorating her life. The service and reception will be held on April 11th, 2024 at 11:00 AM located at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna rd. NE,Albuquerque NM 87109. Your presence and support during this time is deeply appreciated as we come together to remember and celebrate a life that touched so many.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of support and condolences received. The interment will be held privately, at a later date per family’s request.
