Victoria Rubalcaba

Victoria Isabel Rubalcaba of Rio Rancho NM passed away on Saturday May 31,2025. Victoria was born on June 03.1946 in Durango, Colorado to Cordelia Herrera. Victoria was a caring wife, mother, grandmother , aunt and friend. Our mother was the light in the lives of everyone she met. Our mother was an educator, and worked in several states Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. She loved the Four Corners, and spend many years in Cove, Arizona working for the BIE. Mom loved teaching , and inspired many to attend college. Mother made friends wherever she went, and we will continue her legacy of love, respect and kindness. Victoria was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ricky, Alvin,Gary Vigil, sisters Margaret Espinoza, and Irene Vigil, Darlene Padilla.Victoria is survived by husband, Eufemio Joe , three sons Joey (Renee) , Jessie , and Sonny. daughters, Angela , Crestina (Pierre)Pfeffer , mom's brother Tommy ( Marlene) Vigil. Victoria had many special sister in laws Estella, Anita Rubalcaba and brother in law Joe Padilla, Bernadette Vigil Victoria's beloved grandchildren: Andrea, AJ , Joshua , Christian, Caleb, and Amor. Victoria had seven Great Grandchildren who meant the world to her. So many nieces and nephews that just loved her taking her to Las Vegas yearly for Super Bowl parties. Mom loved the Slot machines, reading, walking with Dad. Victoria's memorial Services will be June 17.2025 at the San Ysidro Catholic Church located at 5015 Corrales Rd., Corrales, New Mexico at 10:00 am Rosary preceding the mass starting at 9:30 am. Lunch will follow the service at the adjoining building.
