Vicky Lee Weinand
With a heavy heart, we announce that our cherished matriarch, Vicky Weinand, was called home to be with the Lord on September 25th, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on July 9th, 1956, in Albuquerque, NM, Vicky lived a life of love, adventure, and faith in God. She was the beloved wife of the late Mark Weinand, and together they built a strong foundation of God, love and family that continues to bless generations.
Vicky was a woman of family and faith, yet she was also strong-willed and spirited. She had a rebellious side that made her unforgettable. She embraced life fully, never afraid to speak her mind, standing firm in her beliefs, and sharing a laugh or two. Her family remembers her as both a gentle nurturer and a fire-hearted soul who taught them independence, courage, resilience, and the importance of living life with passion. She found so much joy in her family, serving others and loving them unconditionally.
She guided her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with wisdom, faith, and compassion, always pointing them toward God’s love while reminding them to live boldly and love deeply.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Renay Harper (Jimmy); her caring brother, Dale Mercer (Gail); her three devoted sisters, Jolene Zelner (Jimmy), Vanessa Mercer (Louie), and Sunni Moore (Greg); as well as grandchildren James Harper (Allie) and Hannah Harper, four great-grandchildren Gracee, Scottie, Lucia, and Juliana. As well as several nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts. Though she has left this earthly home, her legacy of faith, love, and strength will remain a light to all who knew her.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Billye Mercer, her beloved husband, Mark, her young son, Scott Henry, and her great-granddaughter, Kaylani Mae, all whom she now holds in her arms once more in the presence of the Lord. We rejoice in knowing that she is reunited with them all in eternal glory. Burial will take place at Gates of Heaven Cemetery (7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109) on October 31st at 1:00 pm.
Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing she left behind a legacy of love that will continue to guide us. Her spirit will live on in every story shared, with every gathering filled with laughter, and every heart she touched. Vicky's family loved her so deeply and cherished every moment with her. She is so loved and will be missed by many!
You were right mama; one lifetime isn’t enough! See you in Heaven .
