Valerie Ann
Otero
Apr 12, 1975 — Oct 1, 2026
It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Valerie Ann Otero.
Valerie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, Nene, godmother, and friend. She was one of a kind—the life of the party, a true social butterfly, and someone whose personality could fill an entire room. She loved being surrounded by people, making others laugh, and creating memories with those she loved most. To know Valerie was to know her big personality, her laughter, and the special energy she brought wherever she went.
Valerie also had a true passion for being a hairstylist. Doing hair was more than something she was good at—it was something she genuinely loved. Through her talent, creativity, and outgoing personality, she had a way of making people feel beautiful and confident while also forming special connections with those who sat in her chair.
Above everything else, Valerie loved her family. She leaves behind her three sons, PJ and his wife, Chantel; Johnathan and his wife, Brianna; and Joshuea and his wife, Charon. She was an incredibly proud Nene to her grandchildren Destiny, Evalise, Josiah, Derris, Makinzy, Sophia, Devion, Ella, and Juniper. She also shared a special bond with her goddaughter, Octavia, and godson, Michael.
Valerie was loved by so many, and her absence will be felt more than words can express. We will miss her laughter, her stories, her love, her larger-than-life personality, and the way she could turn an ordinary moment into a memory.
Although our hearts are hurting, we will continue to carry Valerie with us through the memories she gave us and the love she left behind. Her spirit will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and every person whose life she touched.
Rest peacefully, Valerie. You were deeply loved, you will be forever missed, and you will never be forgotten.
