Tonya Marie Blea

Tonya Marie Blea was born on October 3,1970 in Albuquerque, NM to Lincoln and Virginia Blea and went home to be with the Lord on November 20,2025 at the age of 55. 

Tonya was preceded in death by her parents Lincoln and Virginia Blea, Harold and Beatrice Blea, her son D'Markus Blea and her brothers Gene Blea and Jose “Pepe” Quintana.

She is survived by her son Devin Munford, her brothers and sisters; CC (Anita) Blea, Bo (Matilda) Blea, Ricky (April) Blea, Kenny (Candice) Blea, Serena (Kelly) Blea, Mac Blea, Yesinia (Raul) Vasquez, Matilda Blea, Roberta Blea, Yvonne (Mike) Sandoval, Maryann Sanchez, Maria Blea “Auntie Tiny”, best friend Janie Thompson, Wagner “Bink” Monford, Bobby Crawford and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Our family lost a bright, fierce little force of nature. She may have been small, but she moved through life like someone twice her size- loud with love, big with heart, always ready with a joke, a comeback, or a little well aimed trash talk to keep everyone honest.

She spent most of her life weaving in and out of Albuquerque and Atlanta and in that time, she became the pulse of the place. She loved doing hair, loved shopping, loved filling the house with colors- sketches and doodles, leaving pieces of her imagination behind for us to find. When music came on, she didn’t just dance; she claimed the room. Nights out hanging with friends, giving more of herself than she ever kept- she lived in full color, bold lines, no erasing. She loved hard. She gave big. She carried a heart far too generous for the world she was in.

Today we honor the girl who could make you laugh when you were trying not to. The girl who dressed like she was stepping onto her own little runway. The girl with magic in her hands and fire in her spirit. The girl we were blessed to love. May her light stay loud. May her memory stay warm. And may we carry her with us-every beat, every smile, every story. 

Services will be held on December 09, 2025 at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel. Services will start at 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
