Theresa Sandra Garcia

Theresa Sandra Garcia, aged 62, left this world peacefully on September 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 13, 1960, to Salvador Garcia Sr. and Dora Garcia, Sandra was a truly remarkable individual. Despite the challenges she faced with Down syndrome throughout her life, Sandra exhibited immense strength and resilience.

Sandra's spirit shone brightly as she actively participated in the New Mexico Special Olympics, an experience that brought her great joy. She formed cherished friendships through this pursuit and earned numerous medals for her accomplishments. Shopping trips, dining out, and traveling with her family were among some of the other activities that brought her immense happiness.

Leaving behind a legacy of love are Sandra's brothers: Dori Garcia and his wife Tina, Roy Garcia and his wife Rosella, Clarence Garcia, Reyes Garcia, Uvaldo Garcia and his wife Jean; as well as her sisters Karen Manuelito and Dianna Bernal with her husband Danny.

Preceding Sandra in death are her beloved parents Salvador Garcia Sr. and Dora Garcia, as well as her brothers Lloyd Garcia, Salvador Garcia Jr., and Reynaldo Garcia.

A funeral service to honor Sandra's life will take place on Monday October 2, 2023 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Seboyeta, New Mexico. A viewing will be held at 9:00 am followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary. The Funeral Mass will commence thereafter with burial at Seboyeta Cemetery.

Sandra's beautifully kind spirit will forever be remembered for its ability to touch the lives of those around her. Her love extended unconditionally to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
