Tanya A. Martinez

Tanya Martinez born February 9, 1979 has passed as of January 23, 2023. Leaving us unexpectedly at the young age of 43 in Albuquerque NM. Many would say she had an energetic and sensitive soul. Yet, still had the spirit of a fighter while being so wild and free. She lived life by her own rules, always moving with the wind and blazing trails with every path she took. Tanya also had a passion for fashion. Creativity so beautifully flowed through her. She always remained authentic to herself in every cycle of her life. Tanya also made it so easy for people to do the same around her.

Tanya is survived by her four children, Angel Ballejos, Latisha Ballejos, Isaiah Escarcida(Spouse), Anthony Martinez, and Alexus Martinez. Grandchildren Ilian and Esias Escarcida. Parents Gloria Apodoca and Anthony Martinez. Siblings Talaya Martinez, Francisco Martinez and Geraldo Martinez. Nieces Shaniya Martinez, Penelope Arana, Olivia Romero-Martinez. Nephews Benicio Martinez, Gabriel Martinez and Benjamin Martinez. Pallbearers: Francisco Martinez, Geraldo Martinez, Danny Apodoca, Mario Martinez, Raymond Ballejos, Julian Curley and honorary pallbearer Ernie Salas. 

 Rosary will be held Friday February 3, 2023, viewing starting at 5:30pm, rosary at 6:00pm at Immaculate Conception 619 Copper Ave NW Albuquerque, NM 87102. Mass services will be held February 4, 2023, viewing starting at 8:30 am, mass at 9:00am at Immaculate Conception, followed by reception at Father James Moore Parish Hall 600 4th St. SW Abq NM 87102.
