It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Reyes at the age of 34. She was a remarkable individual, known for her kindness, warmth, and ability to bring joy to those around her.
Born on July 9th, 1990, Sylvia possessed a tender heart and an infectious spirit that made every moment with her meaningful. She embraced life with a deep appreciation for its simple pleasures---good food, music that resonated with her soul, and the color purple, which always brightened her day.
Her greatest source of happiness was the relationships she cherished. She had a deep and enduring love for her father, always mindful of his needs and well-being. She shared a close and special bond with her sisters and brother, who stood by her side through all of life’s moments.
This past year, she found the love of her life, Ben Pacheco, and shared a deep, fulfilling relationship that brought her true fulfillment. His family embraced her, and his mother, Roxanne Pacheco, treated her like a daughter.
Sylvia cherished her friendships, holding them close to her heart and valuing the time, laughter, and memories they shared. Above all, Sylvia adored her beloved dog, Hogal. He was more than just a companion, he was a source of comfort, happiness, and unconditional love. They shared an unbreakable bond, and he was always by her side.
She had a love for storytelling, adventure, and the magic of imagination—Labyrinth and Harry Potter were two of her favorite worlds to immerse herself in. Their timeless characters and fantastical elements resonated with her, filling her with a sense of wonder. Through every challenge life presented, Sylvia faced it with strength, determination, and resilience. She had an admirable ability to navigate difficulties with grace, always finding a way forward.
She was preceded in passing by her mother, Alicia Buentello, and her half-brother, Juan Jose Jasso. She is survived by her father, Fernando Reyes; her sister, Alicia Ramirez, and husband, Javier Ramirez, along with their children, Anthony Fernando Ramirez, Izrael Luis Ramirez, and Ariana Neveah Ramirez; her sister, Angela Ortega, and her children, Angel and BreAnna Ortega; and her brother, Fernando Reyes Jr., and his daughter, Marissa Reyes, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. She was also lovingly embraced by her boyfriend, Ben Pacheco, and his mother, Roxanne Pacheco. Countless friends and loved ones will forever hold her in their hearts.
A celebration of her life will take place at FullCircle Community Services on May 24th at 2:00 pm, where family and friends will gather to honor her, share cherished memories, and reflect on the love she brought to the world.
Though she is gone too soon, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
