It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Lawerance Baros, age 43, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, on October 5, 2026. Born to Jake and Emily and raised in Espanola, NM.

Steven grew up with a strong work ethic and an appreciation for hands-on, honest labor. He made his living in construction and landscaping. No matter the challenge Steven took immense pride in everything he built and maintained, When he wasn’t on the job site, you could almost always find him working on something from cleaning to tinkering with his truck. Above all Steven cherished the time he got to spend with his family, especially his daughters, goddaughter and grandson who all brought immense light and joy to his life. Even though his life was filled with ups and downs Steven remained good hearted. He will be remembered for his big heart, independence and strength.

Stevens memory will forever be cherished by his father and step-mom, Jake and Yvonne Baros, his sisters and brothers, Amanda Dominguez (Daniel), Debra Baros, Jake Baros Jr and Robert Baros. His Daughters Alexis, Stephanie, Angel and Emily. His goddaughter Jenni, great niece Scarlett and great nephew Leondro. And his one and only grandson, Xianno. His bonus daughters, Mercades, Lilianna and Cattelya. Nephews and nieces, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and the many friends that loved him.

Steven is welcomed home by his mother, Emily Casias. His maternal grandparents Emilo and Ruth Baca and paternal grandparents Valentin and Mary Baros.

Cremation will be done privately. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Our family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Trujillo Family Funeral Home in Albuquerque, NM for their compassionate care and guidance during this difficult time.

We also want to thank all our family and friends for all the support, prayers and donations. To know Steven was to love him, and he will be missed beyond measure. Our family finds peace in knowing Steven is reunited with those who went before him.
