It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father and brother Steve CDE Baca Jr. On March 31st, 2026, the angels came to take Steve to his Heavenly home with our Lord Jesus Christ and to reunite with his parents Estefan and Florence CDE Baca, his two Nephews Alex Flores and Gerald Garcia and his special friend Joe Torres.

Steve was born on June 25th, 1961, to his parents Estefan and Florence CDE Baca in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Steve was always happy and full of life. He had a hardy laugh that could be both funny and yet very annoying. He really enjoyed pulling pranks on everyone and especially his nieces and nephews, he also loved getting them in trouble and then laughing at them. Steve loved hosting his family for barbecues in his home on the Ponderosa Mountains. He really loved and enjoyed living in the mountains where he was able to fish, cook and enjoy the mountain air. Steve was in his element and really hated having to move back to the city.

Steve really loved his family and his pets. Steve loved working with his hands, especially wood. He made very beautiful things out of wood. Steve was very resourceful and collected many materials from the forest for his crafts.

Steve you will be loved and really missed but never forgotten.

Steve is survived by his Two sons: Steven CDE Baca and Christopher Martinez.
