Sostenes "Sos" Telas

July 18, 1941 – April 29, 2026

Sostenes “Sos” Telas of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Esperanza, Texas, Sos led a life filled with joy, friendship, and community.

An avid golfer and enthusiastic dancer, Sos especially loved spending time at The Caravan. His mornings were often brightened by his cherished time with friends at the Los Volcanes Senior Center in Albuquerque.

Sos is preceded in death by his loving parents, Emma Brito and Sostenes Telas, Sr., as well as four brothers and two sisters. He is warmly remembered by his daughter Rebecca (Tom), his son David (Elena), and his four grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Santos Hernandez, sisters Lupe and Maria Brito, Rosa Magallenes, along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor Sos’s life will be held on May 23, 2026, from 2 to 4 PM at the Trujillo Funeral Home Chapel, located at 110 Alvarado Drive SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
