Sara Romero

Sara Romero, a beloved resident of Albuquerque and a cherished member of her family and community, peacefully departed this life on October 10, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on July 16, 1939, in Albuquerque. She now rejoins her heavenly family, including her beloved daughter Lucy and her parents, Miramon and Trinadad Garcia, who welcomed her with open arms.

Sara is survived by her long-time friend/husband, Charles Lerma, along with her daughter Molly, and sons Richard, and Manuel. She was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Carla, Melissa, Annette, Anthia, Theresa, Monique, Johnny, Frederick, Christopher, Aaron, and Michael. She also had 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, each of whom she adored and cherished deeply.

Sara also leaves behind her surviving siblings: Delia, Mable, Dolores, Eulalia, and Louie, who will miss her warmth and kindness. She was preceded in death by her siblings Pauly and Miramon Jr., whom she loved dearly.

In celebration of her life, a memorial service will be held at Trujillo Family Funeral Home, located at 110 Alvarado Drive SE in Albuquerque, NM 87108, on October 23, 2025. The service will begin at 6:00 PM and conclude at 8:00 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and family to come together, share memories, and honor the remarkable life of Sara Romero.

Sara's legacy of love, faith, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering support, and the incredible impact she made in the lives of so many.
