Santiago Jose Luis Jaramillo

Santiago was born on September 18, 1990, to John L. Turrietta and Gloria L. Jaramillo in

Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Santiago is preceded in death by his parents John L. Turrietta and Gloria L. Jaramillo, paternal

grandparents, Oracio Turrietta and Crusita Turrietta, maternal grandparents, Ernesto and Emilia

Jaramillo. Many uncles, aunties, cousins and friends.

Santiago is survived by his  beautiful and devoted wife Ann, children, Emilia and Fernando Jaramillo, sister, Naomi Jaramillo and

step-dad Gaudalupe Zarraga, and many other family members and friends.

Santiago was a life-long resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He lived in Meadville,

Pennsylvania for a short time in his teens. Santi was the life of the party. You knew when he

arrived. He announced himself, then he walked straight to the fridge to see what was inside.

Every time he walked through the door you knew the party was here and was about to get

started. He had a shot in one hand, a polar pop in the other. He always utilized his mad DJ skills,

to get everybody in the mood. Santi was a vibe, he was a free spirit. He lived his life day by day

because he loved to be free. Music and art were a big part of his life. He loved to go to concerts

and attend local art expos. Santi was always down to go anywhere even if it was last minute. He

especially loved going camping with his family. He would reminisce all the time about all the

adventures he had at camping since he was little. Santi will be missed especially during the

holiday season. He always cooked for the holidays and participated in all the holiday fun, from

driving around to look at lights, to painting little wooden Santa’s.

Santi also volunteered to coach his daughter’s little league softball team. He was actually a

great coach, he focused on the basics and just wanted to make sure the girls had a good time.

His team actually played very well that year, mostly because of all the teamwork he pushed. He

also loved attending all of Emilia’s volleyball games and Fernando soccer games throughout the

years. One of Santi favorite things to do was he loved spending time with family and friends. If

you were his friend, he considered you family. All the little kids loved him because he was

always out there playing and wrestling with them. He was always down to do whatever, even if

it was last minute. If you ever needed him, he never hesitated to be there, whether it was help,

listen or simply show up. You can always count on him, he was the kind of person who would

give you his last dollar or the shirt off his back. He had a gift for bringing people together. He

was his father is so many ways. And just like his dad he became an amazing grill master who

took pride in the food he cooked. But it was his kindness, generosity and love for his family,

friends and strangers that will truly be missed and never forgotten. Rest easy Santi, we love

you!!
