Sally Mary Rael

Sally Rael, a resident of Belen, New Mexico, went on to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the age of 95 years young. She passed peacefully in the presence of her family. Sally is survived by her daughter, Dianna; son-in-law, Manuel; niece, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Shirleen, Dawn-Marie, and John-Paul; and great-grandchildren, August, Taylor, and Mackenzie. Sally was born in Dougherty, Texas, in 1930 and had eight other siblings. She met and married the love of her life, Jim, at the age of twenty-one, where they created a wonderful life together for over 71 years until Jim’s passing in 2022. Sally’s life was full of laughter, joy, and family. Her fiery and passionate personality is what she was known for, which made her a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, cook, and teacher to everyone she met. She will be dearly missed, but we know we will see her again in heaven one day!

A Funeral Service for Sally will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Trujillo Family Funeral Home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Burial will be the same day at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with her late husband, Jim.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration.
