In Loving Memory of Rudy Chavez-Montoya 09/19/1991-10/01/2026

On Thursday, October 1, 2026, Rudy Chavez-Montoya, a loving father, son, brother, uncle, boyfriend, and best friend, passed away at the age of 35. Rudy was born on September 19, 1991, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Michael Montoya and Nancy Chavez. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Anthony Tapia, and brother-in-law, Richard Tapia. 

Rudy leaves behind his parents, Michael Montoya, Nancy Chavez, Susie and Antonio Chavez; Mother of his daughters, Antoinette and his children, Fayth, Precious, Hope, Girlfriend Alexis and son Gustavo, Sister, Brandie (Logan); brothers Michael(Sara), Daniel, Dominick, and Ricky (Victoria); his godchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends who loved him dearly. Rudy was the second oldest of six and the one who brought his family together. He shared a special bond with each of his siblings and loved his family deeply. Above all, Rudy was a proud and loving father. His children were his best friends and his greatest joy. He was always there for them and cherished every moment he had with them.

Rudy was the life of the party, known for his energy, laughter, jokes, and ability to make everyone smile. He had a heart of gold and would give his last dollar or the clothes off his back to someone in need. He welcomed everyone without judgment and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Rudy was a fighter who never gave up and fought until his last breath. He lived life to the fullest, loved deeply, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Rudy may be gone from our sight, but his laughter, love, and beautiful spirit will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

Rest peacefully, Rudy. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
