Ruben Placencio

Ruben Placencio, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. Ruben was born on January 21, 1946, in Silver City, NM and moved to Albuquerque as a young child. Ruben made friends everywhere he went and had a smile that lit up the room. He was loved greatly and will be profoundly missed.

Ruben is preceded in death by his wife Marlene Placencio, daughter Catalina Placencio, twin brother Rito Placencio Jr., parents Catalina B. Ortiz & Raymond D. Ortiz, Rito Reyes Placencio & Helen Placencio.

Ruben is survived by his loving partner Mary Jane Lopez, daughters Tanya Placencio, Arlayna Aragon (Paul),  Jamara Perea, grandchildren Marchet Rogers, Chris Rogers, Priscilla Molina, Christian Placencio, RJ and Jayla Aragon, great-grandchildren James, John, Jaylynne Gonzalez and Noah Rogers, brothers and sisters, Aurora Acosta, Odelia Anna Ortiz, Yolanda Ortiz-Sanchez, Johnny Ray Ortiz, Nick Placencio, Louis Placencio, David Placencio, James Placencio, Ronnie Placencio, Mary Rita Amador, Linda Medina, Irene Legarda and Martha Bueno.  He is also survived by lifelong friends, Raul and Connie Gonzales, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

Cremation has been entrusted to Trujillo Family Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Albuquerque on Wednesday March 1^st, 2023, at 9:00 am.
