Rosella Ernestina Johnson

Rosella Ernestina Johnson was also known as “Ernie” among friends and “Baby” among family.

She was born in Anthony, New Mexico on February 10, 1938 to Ernesto and Angelina Lucero. Growing up on a farm as the youngest of six siblings, she helped in the harvesting of the cotton fields.

She was married to Aurelio Johnson, CPO USN (Ret), for 64 years to which they celebrated on July 4, 2022.

She worked in banking all her life starting in Anthony in 1957, retiring in Albuquerque in 2006.

She enjoyed all sorts of arts and crafts, making clothes, blankets, and dolls. She also enjoyed working in the yard maintaining her flower beds. She loved to bake, especially at Christmas time. The family favorite was her biscochitos.

Her thoughtful heart and laugh will be missed. She will always be in our hearts, as she is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
