Born during the Great Depression in the South Valley, she had two brothers and three sisters. Manuel and Rose married at the age of 19. Rose devoted all her time to making sure her children and husband were taken care of. She enjoyed dancing to music at the local senior centers and joined The Sunbeams group, sharing her beautiful voice at local community centers and nursing homes, and competing in the Senior Olympics. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with prayer, songs, and an open heart that welcomed everyone she encountered; she always had advice or encouraging words to share.
During Rose’s last years she was cared for by many loved ones,Daily nurtured by Sylvia Griego and Monica Martinez.
Rose instilled in her children and many grandchildren the values of kindness and unwavering faith, creating a legacy that will forever resonate in our hearts.
