In Loving Memory of Rosalia Aragon Jaramillo

Rosalia Aragon Jaramillo, age 97, peacefully returned to our Lord on March 22, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her Mother Rafelita, husband of 44 years, Manuel Jaramillo; Brother in Law Charlie, her sons Antonio and Ronnie; and her daughters Candie and Kathy Lucero. She is survived by her children Manuel (Mellie) and his wife Josie, Frankie and his wife Felipa, Ernest, Ralph and Angie, Arnold, Janice and her husband Joseph Estrada, Andrea, Angela and her husband Lionel Serna, Sister Eleanor Villanueva.

She was a God-loving wife, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Rose was a woman of deep faith and an indomitable spirit. Born during the Great Depression in the South Valley, she had two brothers and three sisters. Manuel and Rose married at the age of 19. Rose devoted all her time to making sure her children and husband were taken care of. She enjoyed dancing to music at the local senior centers and joined The Sunbeams group, sharing her beautiful voice at local community centers and nursing homes, and competing in the Senior Olympics. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with prayer, songs, and an open heart that welcomed everyone she encountered; she always had advice or encouraging words to share.

During Rose’s last years she was cared for by many loved ones,Daily nurtured by Sylvia Griego and Monica Martinez.

Rose instilled in her children and many grandchildren the values of kindness and unwavering faith, creating a legacy that will forever resonate in our hearts.

A memorial will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd.

Viewing will take place at 10:00 AM on April 6, 2026, followed by a Rosary at 10:30 AM.

The funeral service will take place thereafter, with burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 PM. A reception will be held at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church Gym, 3424 4th St. NW, at 4:00 PM.

In honoring Rosalia’s memory, let us embrace and carry on her lessons of love, faith, and generosity, ensuring that her spirit continues to shine brightly in our lives.
