Ronald Lee Collins, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on December 21, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family at Presbyterian Hospital Downtown Albuquerque, NM. Ron, as he was affectionately known to those close to him, will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.

Ronnie was born into a large family on January 1, 1960 in El Paso, Texas. As the fifth child of Bill Gene Collins and Shirley Ann Doucet, he grew up in a household filled with love and laughter. From an early age, Ronnie had an insatiable passion for music and a zest for life that was both infectious and inspiring. His vivacious spirit drew people towards him effortlessly; he had the remarkable ability to strike up conversations with anyone he met and soon considered them lifelong friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Ronnie Collins. He leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have shared in his journey. Ronnie is survived by his loving mother, Shirley Collins of Albuquerque, NM, his devoted sisters Bonnie Sullivan of Anaheim, CA, and Ginger Pennell of Albuquerque, NM, as well as his caring brothers Jake Collins of El Paso, Texas and Chuck Collins of Albuquerque, NM. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Timothy Sullivan and sister-in-law Cathy Collins. Ronnie will be fondly remembered by his three nieces, three nephews, and seven great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held to honor Ronnie's life on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at 2 PM at Montgomery Park in Albuquerque, NM. Please join us as we gather to celebrate the life of this remarkable individual who touched our hearts with his infectious joy and unwavering friendship.
