In Loving Memory of Ronald Andrew Barela
May 4, 1965 – October 4, 2026
Ronald Andrew Barela, 61, passed away at home on October 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on May 4, 1965, to John C. Barela and Alfonsita "Pita" Barela, Ronald lived a life defined by honor, duty, and deep devotion to his community and country. His courage, steady guidance, and unwavering integrity left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Above all his accomplishments, Ronald’s greatest joy and pride were his sons. He was a father, brother, and trusted friend whose presence and warm heart will be deeply missed. Even throughout his illness, Ronald showed remarkable strength and grace, remaining a pillar of love and resilience.
Ronald is survived by his sons, Gabriel and Jeremy Barela; his four brothers; his sister; and many extended family members, dear friends, and fellow brothers and sisters in service who will forever cherish his memory.
