Robert Gene “Stone” Chouinard

April 18, 1986 — May 13, 2022

Robert Gene “Stone” Chouinard passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 36.

He was born on April 18, 1986, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to David Chouinard and Cindi Chouinard (Adams). A beautiful baby boy with blond hair, blue eyes, ten fingers and toes. There was nothing more they could’ve asked for. He was their first child. Growing up he attended Whittier Elementary School in Albuquerque, NM, Burkholder Middle School Henderson, NV, Coronado High School Henderson, NV, Sandia High School Albuquerque, NM, and eventually he went on to get his General Education Diploma in Albuquerque, NM. Over the years Robert had many different jobs. From working in food and restaurants like Garduno’s and wing basket. He went into the union putting in high rise windows as a glazer with Sierra Glass and Mirror. He had and few odd jobs from a salesman to working at Roses Southwest Papers. Finally ended up at Marek Law Firm where he was the office Manager. One thing everyone know about him was that he was an avid sports fan. It didn’t matter what kind of sport it was football, soccer, hockey you name he probably loved it. His favorite football team was the Green Bay Packers. He was such a fan that he owns shares for the team making in an owner. He loved to watch the Golden Knights games. If you know him then you knew how much of a fan he was of the New Mexico United soccer team. He attended almost every game if he could.  Robert also loved to play video games from strategic games to RPG’s. Dungeons and Dragons was another hobby he had. He loved to watch shows like Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Stargate, Weeds, Game of Thrones, and many more. There were so many good qualities about him. Sometimes he was a bit much at times but that was him. If he was passionate about something he would fight for it. Even if it seemed like an uphill battle. When you would talk with him, he was a great listener and always tried to help everyone he could. He had such an infectious laugh and smile you couldn’t help but join in with him. He loved to make people smile any chance he had. One thing he loved to do was spending time with his friends, weather it was at a game or just out to a quick lunch or even if you needed help. He would do his best to be the best friend and brother he could all the way up until his las moments.

Robert is survived by his younger brother Bryan Chouinard of Las Vegas, Nevada and younger sister Beverly Chouinard brother-in-law Geoffrey Herrera Albuquerque, New Mexico. His aunts and uncle Patrice Swisher, Lisa Chouinard, Jackie Chouinard, Victoria Chouinard of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Pat and John Racicot, and Chris Richardson Chouinard of Paducah, Kentucky. If I Should Go Tomorrow- Unknow Author

If I should go tomorrow

It would never be goodbye,

For I have left my heart with you,

So don’t you ever cry.

The love that’s deep within me,

Shall reach you from the stars,

You’ll feel it from the heavens,

And it will heal the scars.
