Richard Lawrence Perea, a native son of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away in Albuquerque on September 9, 2026, at the age of 67.

He was born on December 14, 1958, in Albuquerque, and remained closely connected to the city throughout his life. Richard will be remembered with respect and affection by those who knew him, and his passing brings sorrow to all who shared in his life.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Trujillo Family Funeral Home, 110 Alvarado Drive SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
