Ramon Spears

Ramon Javier Spears entered eternal peace on May 8, 2025 at the age of 53. He lived in Albuquerque the last several years. Ramon was born on September 28, 1971 in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Surviving family include his mother Refugio Spears Espinoza, sisters Maria and Blanca, brothers Martin and Rick, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ramon was honored to call Angel, Adrianna, and Vanessa his children. He is preceded in death by his father Jack D. Spears and nephew Jack Spears Lugaro.

Ramon had a passion for music. Groups such as Cypress Hill, Megadeth, Das EFX, 311 and ABBA to name a few were on constant rotation. He learned to play the guitar to jam along. Ramon had an inquisitive nature that sparked thought provoking conversations. We discussed topics like Is the Earth round or flat? He was a great debater that understood the necessity to examine different points of view. This a valuable tool he instilled in others.

Ramon loved his family and the time spent together at places such as Three Rivers, the mountains, Dog Canyon, or racing to the top of the Round Mountain to see who reached the cross and its summit first. Ramon cherished those memories and enjoyed reminiscing!

This is not farewell, but until we meet again to the #1 Raiders fan. Family and friends will greatly miss Ramon! We will honor his memory. Heaven has gained an angel. Details for an Alamogordo service will be released at a later date.
