In Loving Memory of Mr. Pete Trujillo Sr.
Mr. Pete Trujillo Sr., age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of his daughter. Pete was born in Magdalena, New Mexico, to Anastacio and Marianita Trujillo and was the oldest of four children. As a young man, he moved to Albuquerque’s South Valley, where he built a home and raised his family, remaining there for the rest of his life—the home symbolizing dedication to family and the life he crafted with hard work.
He married the love of his life, Ignacita, on July 12, 1962. Together, they built a life centered on family, commitment, and love. Pete proudly served in the United States Army for two years before returning to his beloved South Valley, where he provided for his family and built his future. He worked in HVAC and retired from Albuquerque Public Schools in 2000, embodying perseverance and dedication.
A devoted father to his children, Ramona, Pete Jr., and Christina, Pete cherished the time spent with his family, finding joy in hunting with his son. Predeceased by his parents, a sister, wife Ignacita, daughter Ramona Apodaca, and son Pete Trujillo Jr., their memories and love remain with the family.
Survived by his loving daughter, Christina Gallegos, and her husband, Paul; daughter-in-law Anna Trujillo; six grandchildren: Paul Gallegos Jr., Briana Trujillo, Marianita Trujillo, Michaela Apodaca, Aidan Gallegos, and Breale Gallegos. He is also survived by his younger brother, Lawrence Trujillo, and his wife, Martha; sister Olivia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pete leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion, and lasting family ties. The home he built, years of service, and countless cherished memories testify to a life well-lived. Though deeply missed, his memory will endure in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
Pallbearers honoring Pete’s life are his son-in-law, Paul Gallegos; grandsons, Paul Gallegos Jr. and Aidan Gallegos; brother, Lawrence Trujillo; nephew, Lawrence Trujillo; and close family friend, Jonathan Aragon.
Rest in peace, Pete Trujillo Sr., reunited with cherished loved ones. You will forever be loved, remembered, and missed.
