Pearleane Wherry, aged 70, peacefully departed this life on July 24th, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Pearleane, born in Tennessee, embraced life with grace and dedication. Her career at Mark H. Luttrell Corrections Center spanned over two decades, culminating in her retirement in 2020.

She will be fondly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Pearleane's life was rich with the joys of family, and she cherished moments sewing, crafting, and engaging in the loving embrace of her loved ones.

Her memory lives on through her son, Pierre Wherry, his wife Jenna, and beloved grandchildren, Zeakeal and Amaryah Gonzales.

A funeral service celebrating Pearleane’s life will be held at Gray's Creek Church in Arlington, Tennessee, on September 4th, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
