Paul Albert Mitschler, 87, passed away peacefully in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on August 12, 2026.

Born in Marysville, Kansas, on October 17, 1938, Paul spent his life sharing his love of learning. For over 30 years, he inspired students as a math and science teacher at Jefferson Middle School within the Albuquerque Public Schools system. Paul’s curiosity extended far beyond the classroom; he was an avid photographer, a stargazer fascinated by astronomy, and a skilled gardener. He loved cooking for those he cared about, and his friends proudly crowned his tamales the best around. Paul found great joy in the simple, quiet comforts of home, alongside his cherished cat, Impy. Most importantly, Paul lived a life rooted in his deep faith and unwavering devotion to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He leaves behind his loving sister, Norma Mitschler of Marysville, Kansas, and his brother, Frank Mitschler of Beatrice, Nebraska.
