IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Sue
Ruiz
August 11, 1952 – February 17, 2026
Patty Sue Ruiz, beloved wife, mother, daughter-in-law, grandma, sister, sister-in-law was born on August 11, 1952, in Manhattan, Kansas, to Leota "Bo" Randall and Dorsie Randall, filling the world with her radiant light from that moment on.
She graduated from Manhattan High School in May 1970. Patty was blessed with a daughter and a son. In January 1983 she reeled in Joseph Ruiz, hooked his heart, and married the best catch of her life.
Patty was a ray of sunshine to everyone she cared for. Life wasn't always a walk in the park, she had her share of heartbreak losing her precious daughter, Linda Sue Van Kirk; her parents, Leota “Bo” and Dorsie Randall, her brothers, Francis and Ron Randall, and her nephew; Ronnie Randall.
She still has wonderful people here loving her forever, and keeping her memory alive; Her husband, Joseph Ruiz; mother-in-law Josie, father-in-law Joe, her son; Jeffrey Ruiz (and his wife Melissa, someone's gotta keep him in line for her.) Her sister, best friend, and partner in crime Pam. Her niece Steph, who loved her more than ice cream. Three beautiful granddaughters, Lindie, Nicole, and Jordyn; her loving siblings, Betty Ann (husband Ron) Moon, Roger Randall, George (wife Lealla) Randall; and many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed laughing and joking and always managed to find the brighter side of things, even when the forecast looked gloomy.
Family was her everything and she cherished those special bonds. She would often check in on her relatives close by and far away, to see what shenanigans they were up to without her...mainly because she was nosy and wanted to stay updated on everyone's business. She tried her best to be part of every significant moment and was the loudest cheerleader for those she loved.
When she wasn’t being a goofball, she enjoyed camping, fishing, board games and hanging out with friends and family.
Patty reunited with her daughter Linda and other loved ones on February 17,2026.
