Oliver Gerald Tapia age 71 passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20th at Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Oliver was born May 1, 1955 to Miguel and Esther Tapia in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He graduated high school from Albuquerque high in 1973.

Oliver is survived by his two sons Vincent and Aaron Tapia as well as his sisters, Helen Campos, Nellie Artiaga, Charlotte Tapia, Brother Randall Tapia, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Oliver touched are invited to Saint Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church located at 619 Copper Ave. NW., Albuquerque, NM 87102 with the rosary starting at 9 AM and a mass immediately following starting at 10:00AM on February 17, 2026. The reception will be at 9000 4th Street at the American Legion building after the mass.
