Olga Anastasia Cruz Burciaga Warriner was called home to eternal rest on December 18, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by love and faith. A devoted Catholic, Olga lived with a generous heart, a gentle yet fierce spirit, and an unwavering capacity for love. For the last years of her life, she faced dementia with quiet strength and dignity, cared for tenderly by her children, their spouses, and devoted family members.
Known to many as “BOG,” and lovingly as Honey, Mom, Mommycita, and Grandma, Olga was caring, creative, and deeply compassionate, with a sharp, sarcastic sense of humor that often caught people delightfully off guard. To know her was to love her. She had a remarkable gift for saying exactly what was needed, especially in moments when words felt hard to find. One of her simple truths captured her spirit best: “God loves you, and so do I.”
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: coffee, french fries, pie at Village Inn, long phone calls, laughter, and above all, her children and grandchildren, who remained the center of her world. Though dementia took much from her memory, it never took her humor, warmth, spirit, or her ability to love deeply. Love was always her default.
Olga shared more than 50 years of marriage with her husband, Edward Warriner, in a love story uniquely their own. Her Catholic faith grounded her, especially in times of suffering, and her kindness and resilience left a lasting legacy in the lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Maria and Andres Burciaga, and her brother, Andres “Andy” Burciaga. She is survived by her husband Edward Warriner; her children Catherine Warriner (Michael), Billy Warriner (Sarah), and Stephanie Telles (Adrian); her grandchildren Skye Cassaneilli-Warriner (Ryan), Sylas Warriner, and Autumn Telles; her siblings; Sandra Velez (Javier), David Burciaga (Gloria), Rogelio Burciaga, Sr. (Beatriz), Bertha Burciaga, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish her memory.
Funny, loving, resilient, and unforgettable, Olga was a true chingona. May she rest in peace, free from pain, and forever carried in the hearts of those she loved so well.
