Nestorita “Nester” Chavez

In life and death, we belong to God. The angels led Nester to Paradise on July 17,

2026, where she joined her parents, Amado and Adela Chavez, beloved husband,

Antonio “Tony” and son, Christopher John.

Nester was very passionate about sharing her gift of singing in her Catholic faith. This

gift moved her to join the Spanish Choir at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church as well as

Coro de la Cumunidad (City Choir). Dedication to her Catholic faith called her to service

with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul where she gave generously from her heart for 40

years. She also served as a leader of the Senior Citizen group. Her Catholic faith gave

her strength and sustained her throughout her life.

Left to mourn her loss, but to live with the beautiful memories of her life, are her

children: Duane, Kenny, Albert, Lorraine, Adrian (Michelle), and daughter-in-law Mary

Ann, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her surviving brothers, Gilbert,

Ernest, Lawrence, Frank and Severo Chavez.

A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, 9:30 a.m at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Mass to follow at

10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
