Mary Monica Gabaldon

Mary Monica Gabaldon, aged 86, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024. She was a cherished Mother, Grandmother, Nana, Sister, and Auntie. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Clorindo and Estella Sandoval, three brothers - Pete, Samuel, and Manuel, as well as her sister Virginia Sandoval-Woods. Additionally, two grandsons Andre and Joshua Santillanes also predeceased her.

She is survived by her loving children: Earl Santillanes and wife Flora, Paul Santillanes and wife Valerie, Paulie Sandoval, and daughter Karla Desimone. Mary is also remembered by her five sisters: Pricilla Gomez, Carmen Grzelachowski and husband Jerry, Marian Ortiz, Teresa Gilbert, and Tillie Trammel alongside their families.

Grandchildren Monica Pena , Joseph Santillanes , Angelo Desimone , Carmine Desimone , Kayla Sandoval , Estelle ,and husband as well as eight great-grandchildren Alyssa and Nikki Pena; Christian Santillanes; Anderson; Monroe; Pascha Santillanes; Damien; Marcelo Desimone who lovingly called her Nana.

Mary will be forever cherished as a compassionate individual known for her altruistic nature - always willing to help others selflessly. Her dedication to nursing spanned 35 years during which she brought comfort not only to her patients but also to their families.

Honorary Pallbearers will include Michael Gray, Stella Sandoval, Alyssa and Nikki Pena, Christian Santillanes; Anderson; Monroe Santillanes; Miranda Quintana.

A visitation is scheduled from 10 AM until 12 PM on Monday, February 26th at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mary Monica Gabaldon leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who were blessed to know her. May she rest in peace.
