Martin Casillas

It is with great sorrow and great love that we announce the passing of Martin Casillas, 59, passed away on March 26, 2026 at his house in Albuquerque, NM.

Martin was born on November 10, 1966 to Joseph M Casillas and Fidelia Casillas who welcomed him into hand Sister Patricia Sanchez and many other family members, including his loving dogs.

Martin is survived by his children Jonathan Lewis (CJ Sanchez), Jenipher Montoya (Zach Montoya) grandsons Zachary and Elisardo Montoya of Albuquerque, NM. And Daughter Geolina Morales ( Andrew Henry).

Brother Gerard & Anita Casillas of Las Vegas, NM. Nephew Daniel Casillas of Los Angeles, Ca. Niece Emily & Ambrose Valdez & children Ethan & Aiden Valdez of Las Vegas, NM.

Sister Marie Serrano & nephew and niece Jacob and Tessa Serrano of Los Alamos, NM. Niece Tasha Torres of Albuquerque, NM and Nephew Nathaniel Casillas. Special Cousin Eileen McCort (Lee Apodoca) of Albuquerque, NM 

He also leaves behind many extended family and friends.

Martin served in the US Army with the 720 TH Transportation Company who served in Operation Desert Storm.

Serving as pallbears are Lee Apodaca, Zack Montoya, Chris Varela, Christopher Samora, Gerard Casillas, Ambrose Valdez, Larry Pacheco. Honorary pallbears are Geolina, Andrew, Jonathan and Jenipher

Services are Monday April 13,2026 at 10 am at Trujillo funeral Home in Albuquerque,NM. Burial to follow in Santa Fe at the National Cemetary.
