It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Jeffery Sims, who left this world peacefully at his home on September 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with his illness. Born on March 7, 1958, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mark was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.

Mark was the cherished son of James and Ethel Sims, who have preceded him in death. His life was a testament to the values instilled by his loving parents, as he carried forward their legacy of kindness and integrity. A devoted husband to Debbie Sims for 17 beautiful years, Mark shared a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

As a father, Mark was a guiding light to his children, Clayton Sims and Amanda Nichols, Step Children Amber Bolduc and Myles Colton offering them unwavering support and encouragement in all their endeavors. He welcomed his son-in-law, Grant Nichols, and daughter-in-law, Gillian Javetski, into the family with open arms, embracing them as his own. Mark's joy was further amplified by the arrival of his grandchildren, Alice, Weston, and Bennett, who brought immense happiness and pride to his life.

In his professional journey, Mark was a well-respected roofing specialist for over 30 years. His dedication to his craft and commitment to excellence earned him the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. His work not only provided shelter but also symbolized the care and attention he showed in every aspect of his life. 

Mark's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care during his final days. Their support and kindness provided comfort to both Mark and his family during this difficult time.

In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Mark's life. While the ceremony is intimate, the impact of Mark's life and the love he shared with family and friends are felt far and wide.
