On Friday, September 12th, 2025, our beloved grandmother, mother, sister, and friend Marilyn Sisneros, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 in her home of 63 years surrounded by family. Born in San Antonio New Mexico to Damian and Theresa Cuaron Marilyn was the youngest of nine children. From her earliest days, she carried a strong sense of family, faith, and tradition that defined her life.
Marilyn was known to many as Mrs. S., a dedicated teacher and tutor at Chaparral Elementary and Edward Gonzales Elementary, where she devoted her career to students in special education. To her family she was the heart of every gathering, filling holidays with chile rellenos, tamales, and her famous red chile. She also shared her love of music through summers at the New Mexico Jazz Workshop with her granddaughter Ashley. At home she enjoyed Ranchera music, dancing and caring for turtles in her beloved backyard and her two dogs, both named Tanya. She treasured the drawings her Great Granddaughter Raquel made for her and displayed all of them on her refrigerator.
She is survived by her daughters Debra "Debbie" Adair (husband Tom), Emily Sisneros; her granddaughter Ashley (husband Henry) Titsworth; her great-granddaughter Raquel Adair; her sister Della Hall; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by Damian and Theresa Cuaron, Joseph Sisneros and many siblings and loved ones who now welcome her home.
