With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Maria “Becky” Baca, who took her first breath in heaven on Thursday, March 12, 2026, and was reunited with her husband Juan Baca, her daughter Elsie Seymour, along with her mother, father, brothers and sisters, but most importantly, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Becky was born on May 27, 1944, in the Barelas neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she spent most of her days with her Nana, and spending time with her many siblings. Becky later had three beautiful daughters, Lupe Barreras, Elsie Seymour, Luanna Moya, and one beloved son, Daniel Baca with his wife Denise Baca. They then blessed her with fourteen grandchildren, who then had seventeen great-grandchildren, along with ten great-great-grandchildren to follow. Not to forget to mention her sister in whom she is survived by, Stella Padilla Rael, and husband Rudy Rael, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and close friends. Becky was well known and loved by all. She was a great woman of faith, one who loved and cared deeply for everyone she knew, and someone who could make a new friend wherever she went.

Becky was someone who was always loving, honest, and kind. She was always willing to help anyone in trouble or in need. Her smile could light up a room, and she was someone who would always make you feel at home. Becky loved going to church, reading her bible, spending time with family, and sitting at the table to do her daily wordsearch puzzles. In her younger days, she enjoyed going to California to visit her sister, taking care of her yard, and spending time with her honey, Juan. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Our family would like to invite you to join us in honoring and remembrance of our dearly beloved, Becky Baca, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 12:00 pm at The Light Christian Church (6008 Avalon Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87105.) Although a funeral service will be held for the immediate family and will be announced by invitation only, we would like to welcome you to join us to have a meal after her remembrance service, location to be announced.
