Margaret Stanley
Born in Torreón, Mexico, and raised in Old Mesilla near Las Cruces, New Mexico, wherein her heart remains. Margaret found eternal peace in God's Care, after a courageous 25-plus-year battle with Primary Lateral Sclerosis PLS, a rare neurodegenerative disease.
Margaret moved to New Mexico with her family at the age of five. Though her early years were shaped by hard work and poverty, she still found joy in music and dancing with a flair for style—embracing the spirit and rhythm of youth with laughter and grace. She cracked jokes with a small or silent smile- a dry and subtle humor.
A devoted and compassionate Registered Nurse, Margaret found her calling in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where her strength, care, and calm made a profound difference in the lives of many newborns and their families.
Beyond her professional life, Margaret was an exceptionally talented artist. Her work in ceramics, particularly her delicate porcelain pieces, reflected her patience and creativity. As a seamstress she enjoyed making a well crafted item.
Margaret was the proud mother of four children, and her life was a testament to the power of sacrifice, love, and quiet resilience.
Though she endured immense physical challenges, Margaret never lost her fighting spirit. She will be remembered as a brave warrior, a generous soul, and a woman of quiet strength and boundless love.
She is survived by her four children, five grandchildren, and many others whose lives she touched. Her memory will live on in every life she helped, every piece of art she crafted, and every heart she loved so deeply.
