Margaret Hope Moya

September 7, 1961 — January 22, 2024

Albuquerque, NM

Margaret Hope Moya passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones as she peacefully left this world. Margaret, born on September 7, 1961, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was the cherished daughter of Hilberto and Margaret Cabrera.

Margaret's zest for life was truly remarkable. She lived every moment with an unyielding spirit and a unique sense of freedom. Her vivacious personality and "crazy" antics brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Margaret's love knew no bounds; she adored her sons, George Cabrera and Phillip Aragon, her brothers and sisters, extended family members, loyal friends, and her beloved dogs.

Known for her generosity, Margaret was a giver at heart. Throughout her life, she diligently provided food and shelter for those in need. Giving came naturally to her; she never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone who required it. Besides her giving nature, Margaret also found immense joy in dancing to music, watching movies, and occasional visits to the casino with close friends.

Margaret is survived by her devoted sons George Cabrera and Phillip Aragon. She is also remembered fondly by her daughter-in-law Amber Aragon and their beautiful grandchildren Junior, Cheyenne, Kayleigh, Olive, and Abigail. In addition, Margaret leaves behind her beloved siblings Eugene Enriquez, Gilbert Cabrera, Olivia Whitaker as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Hilberto and Margaret Cabrera. Margaret also joins her late siblings Erma Gonzalez, Rudy Enriquez, Mary Lou Enriquez Alice Enriquez along with Mary Helen "Huera" Chavez in eternal rest.

A service to honor and celebrate Margaret's life will be held on Friday, February 2, at 12:00 p.m. The service will take place at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel in Albuquerque. Following the service, a reception will be held where family and friends can share cherished memories and find solace in one another.
