Manuel Robert Valdez was born to Rosalio and Onofre Valdez on May 22, 1948. Bobby as he was known by all of his family and friends was one of eleven children they raised. He spent most of his early years with his Aunt Eloisa and Uncle Fito in Southern California, then returned to Albuquerque with his family.

He is survived by his three daughters Denise, Dina and Jacqueline, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

His remaining siblings are Patricia husband Frank, Tony and wife Hilda and Cindy and husband Tom. Numerous nieces and nephews and of course their family and friends.

He leaves behind his life partner Patsy Baca of thirty-seven years.

Bobby was very much a car club enthusiast and featured his el Camino in several car shows. He was also part of the Valdez & Company baseball team with his brothers cousins and nephews. Bobby had a big, generous heart and was the clown of the family constantly kept us in stitches. Rest in peace brother.
