Lula Mae Shorty

Lula Mae Shorty, 63, Born in Crownpoint, NM and resident of the Navajo Nation Becenti Chapter in Northern New Mexico, passed away November 8^th 2022.

Lula worked for the Federal Government for 32 years in the field of Phlebotomy, where she was recognized by patients and colleagues alike for her kind and fiery personality. Her commitment to her skill at work was fueled by love for her two children.

She is survived by son Evans Manning, daughter Samantha Contreras, grandson Myles Christopher Manning; Sisters Shirley, Anna, Lorraine, Kathy, Irma, Shirleen and their children. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Tom and Juanita Shorty.

A Memorial Service is planned in Crownpoint, NM to be held on Friday the 18^th, 2022.
