Lucita Alice Samora

Lucita Alice Samora, a treasured mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully departed this world on June 22, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 12, 1944, in Providence, Kentucky, Lucita blessed the lives of everyone she met with her unyielding warmth and joy throughout her remarkable 81 years.

She is now reunited with her parents, Margaret and Carl Allen; her sister, Eva Fay Hager; and her beloved son, Jerry Samora, whose memory she holds dear in her heart.

Lucita’s spirit will continue to illuminate the lives of her daughter, Terry J. Samora, and her husband, Ray Marez. She leaves behind a legacy of love, nestled within the hearts of her grandchildren: Edwin Samora and his wife Chante Martinez, Rhea Samora-Smith and her husband George L. Smith II, and Christfer Samora and his wife Aimee Harr. The bond of family extends further through her great-grandchildren: Edwin Samora Jr., Salina Samora, Diego Samora, Presley Orozco, Lucas Samora, and J.J. Samora, all of whom carry her love forward.

In accordance with Lucita's wishes, a private cremation has been held. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us soon in a memorial service that will honor the beautiful life she lived and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
