Louis Abeyta

Louis Abeyta was born September 22, 1949 in Las Vegas, NM, and passed away December 24, 2025 in Albuquerque, NM. He was 76 years old. Louis attended East Las Vegas schools and graduated from Highlands University. 

Louis was married to Crestina Abeyta for 48 years. Louis is preceded in death by his parents: Luis and Bartola Mae Abeyta, sister: Mary Jane Abeyta, brother: Thomas Abeyta, and wife: Crestina Abeyta. 

He is survived by his children: Louis Abeyta III, Lozanne Meyer, and Mareena Romero, grandchildren: Felisha Chavez, Steven Chavez, Dominic Sanchez, Kira Chavez, Aeryana Romero, Kaitlyn Romero, Mila Abeyta, Jacob Chavez, Abrielle Chavez, Xzavior Romero, Bianca Abeyta, and great grand children: Jane Dowd, Jack Dowd, Kiana Chavez-Villagran, and June Dowd.

Services will be held on January 23,2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Rosary will begin at 9 am with a Funeral Mass.  Burial will immediately follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. We are planning a gathering after, to be announced.
