Loretta Martinez passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the age of 69.

Loretta was born in Socorro, New Mexico, on May 19, 1957, to Horacio Padilla and Ramona Padilla.

Loretta was married to Joseph “Joe” Martinez, who passed away in June 2021. She was also preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Diana Martinez, who passed away in 1980.

Loretta is survived by her son, Horacio Martinez, and his wife, Amanda Garcia-Martinez; her daughter, Eva Hernandez; and her grandchildren, Charles Silva, Michael Silva, Anthony Silva, Danielle Silva, and John Paul Silva.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service to honor Loretta’s life will be held on October 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at San Miguel Church in Socorro, New Mexico. The Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
