Lawrence M. Villanueva passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Born on July 21, 1970, he leaves behind cherished memories with those who knew him. Lawrence was predeceased by his beloved son, Lawrence M. Villanueva Jr.; his father, David B. Villanueva; his brother, Davy Villanueva; and his sister, Elaine Rivera.

He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Villanueva; his brother Rick and sister-in-law Theresa Villanueva; sisters Phyllis Villanueva and Charlene Salas; and his girlfriend, Christine Gutierrez. His love and warmth extend to his nieces and nephews, including Cherise, Christine, Alyssa, and Alex, and his great-nieces and nephews, especially Lil Norman. Lawrence's extended family includes many aunts, uncles, cousins, and an array of dear friends, notably his best friend, Robert Quintana.

Lawrence dedicated many years to working in construction at his father's company, D&V Construction, showcasing his versatile skills from demolition to building foundations. He was a proud alumnus of Rio Grande High School and known for his generosity and willingness to help others.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Lawrence has gone home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ and his son, Lil’ Lo.

The pallbearers will be Richie Villanueva, Norman Lucero, Alex Leo Medina, Eddie Muller, Alex Martinez, Robert Quintana, and Gabriel Quintana. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd, SW, Albuquerque, NM.

The viewing will be at 7:30 am, followed by a rosary at 8:15 am and a mass at 9:00 am. Burial will take place at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery, 2957 Arenal Rd. SW, Albuquerque, NM.
