Larry Trujillo (76) is home with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He left peacefully with his family by his side. Larry is preceded in death by his Father John Trujillo. Larry is survived by daughters; Amanda (Victor Saavedra) and Joyce, (Max Apodaca). Survived by his 5 grandchildren: Rueben, DeAna, Savannah, Juaniz, Daniel and 2 great-grandsons Jeriah and Jakai. Larry is survived by siblings: Mrs. Helen Chavez (Husband Larry), Mrs. Betty Roybal, David Trujillo (Wife Nancy) , and Mrs. Katie Perales (Husband Al) .
Larry will be known as the Merry Christmas guy. Anywhere he went (and not during Christmas week) he would say, “Merry Christmas” it was his kid like way into sharing the Good News. Larry lived for an audience of ONE soon after he received Christ as his Lord and Savior. Larry also lived by “Put God First.” He loved his family eternally. Spending time with his grandchildren was very dear to him.
Larry was a Marine and an Army Veteran, with granted permission he headed back home to say goodbye to his loving Mother Katie Trujillo.
Larry was one of a kind indeed, and his faith in the Lord was unapologetic. When a server/cashier/rep would ask, “is there anything else I can do for you?” He would request they sing a song. Last year he received that request. The cashier beautifully sang Amazing Grace. Larry lit up and sang along.
His daughter would insist he has to be John the Baptist’s cousin, for he could share truth just like John at times. Dad responds, “behead me for reaching one soul, I am ok with that.”
Larry has succeeded mainly in eternal matters of this world, just like the few obedient servants in Christ.
Larry’s daughters thank you for all your love and support during this time. Future burial plans will be announced at a later time.
