Kimberly Joy Flores, age 65, born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a longtime resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was called home on August 7, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her mother, Cilia Sedillo; her father, Sipriano Sedillo; her beloved husband of 37 years, William Flores; and her in-laws, Verlinda Taylor, Tony Flores, and Phil Whittle.

She is survived by her children, Robert; Adriana (husband Jaime); Sipriano; and daughter-in-law, Jessica. She leaves behind seven grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Sophia; Sipriano Jr. (Jena); Shayla (James); Sevana (Enrique); Alfredo; Kimberly (Raul); and Sandro.

She is also survived by her siblings, Stanley Sedillo and Katrina Sandoval and her husband, Ray Sandoval; her in-laws, Wilda Martinez and her husband, Lonnie, Robert Taylor, Rose Flores, Jimmy Flores, Flora White; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and others who were blessed to know her.

Kimberly was a kindhearted homemaker who found great joy in helping raise her grandchildren and caring for the people she loved. She had the ability to make everyone she met feel special, cared for, and loved. Whether you were family, a friend, or someone she had just met, Kimberly had a way of making you feel like you mattered. She would go above and beyond for anyone and everyone, always willing to give her time, her love, and whatever she could to help someone in need.

Above all, Kimberly loved Jesus and carried a deep and unwavering faith throughout her life. Her relationship with God was at the center of who she was, and she shared that faith through the way she loved, forgave, welcomed, and cared for others. Her family was her greatest joy and one of the most important parts of her life. And, of course, there was always time for a good game of bingo—something Kimberly truly enjoyed.

Kimberly was the rock that kept her family grounded in faith, love, and forgiveness. She will be remembered for her genuine soul, welcoming heart, generous spirit, and remarkable resilience. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved, her kindness left an impression on everyone that was fortunate enough to cross her path.

Her love, her faith, her laughter, and the memories she created with her family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Kimberly may have been called home, but the love she gave so freely will remain with her family and everyone whose life she touched.
