Juanita Apodaca-Baca

Juanita found joy in serving others and shared the love of Christ through her actions. Whether teaching Sunday school, preparing meals for those in need, or praying diligently for her family and friends, her faith was the foundation of her life. She leaves behind a legacy of grace, humility, and in unwavering trust in God. 

She is preceded in death by parents, Father, Jesus Apodaca, and Mother, Amada Martinez, husband, Pastor Santiago Baca Jr., granddaughters Jessica Baca and Felicia Roybal, and grandson Robert Roybal III. She is survived by son Jimmy J. Baca and wife Tania, daughters Deborah Roybal-Gallegos, Joyce Rhodes, and Tanya Torrez, and husband Carlos Torrez. Grandchildren: Johnathan, Tiana, Angel, Shantel, Julian, Christian, and Ruth. Great Grandchildren Jayden, Mila, Scarlett, Xia, Illyana, Adam Joseph, Xavier, Felicianna.  Who will forever cherish her memory, her wisdom, and her example of a life well-lived in service to the Lord. Though we mourn her passing, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life. Juanita has finished her race and is now resting in the arms of her Savior, hearing the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” The pallbearers will be Johnathan Martinez, Julian Roybal, Christian Rhodes, Carlos Torrez, Frankie Martinez, and Isaac Martinez. 

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel, 110 Alvarado Drive SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Burial to follow promptly at 3:30 pm at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery, 2957 Arenal Rd SW Albuquerque, NM 87121. All who knew and loved Juanita are welcome to attend and honor her legacy.
