José Juan Andrade Jr.

June 24, 1931 – October 6, 2026

He is proceeded in death by his beloved wife Anita Andrade, his parents José Andrade, Natividad Andrade, brothers Eddie, Paco, Rudy and Raymond.

He is survived by his siblings Lucy, Loretta, Josephine, Jennie, Bobby, Chayo, and Joseph (Gloria), Jorge (Eva), Lourdes, Alina (Modesto) and his children Kathy, Joe, Anna (John), Liz (Cody), Roberta (Fred), Andy (Carla), Anthony (Kim), Carlos, and Joann (James). As well as countless grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss him.

He was an educated man who attended college to study teaching. He enjoyed reading the newspaper in addition to his love of western entertainment. Though his heart belonged to raising and fighting roosters since his childhood; this was a love that he shared deeply with his family and friends. He aided in the establishment of the workers’ Union at Albuquerque’s Railyards. A Korean War veteran, he served proudly for the Marine Corps as an aircraft mechanic. He became a dedicated US Postal Worker for numerous years. A proud lifelong member of the Elk’s Lodge. He was a Guadalupano with St. Francis Xavier Parish and contributed to the establishment of the Virgen de Guadalupe fiestas.

Services will be held Friday, November 6, 2026, at St. Francis Xavier Parish located at 820 Broadway Blvd SE. Rosary starts at 10:00am. Funeral Mass will start at 10:30am. Reception to follow at the St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall.
