It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Johnny L. Baca, affectionately known as "BOOM", who departed this life on December 20th, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM. Surrounded by his loving family, Boom peacefully embarked on his final journey.

 

Boom was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Baca, as well as his cherished grandmother, Antonia Garcia, and his esteemed grandfather, Rosillo Baca. He also joins in eternal rest with his uncles Teyo and Priscillano, and his auntie Nancy. These dear departed souls have undoubtedly welcomed Boom with open arms in the realm beyond.

 

Left to cherish his memory are Boom's sister Sandra "Sweetie" Romero and her devoted husband Daniel Romero Sr., who was not only family but also a true friend. Also surviving him are his sister Linda Khader and her loving husband George Khader. Boom leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever shape the lives of those he touched.

 

In addition to his siblings, Boom is survived by his cherished nieces and nephews: Daniel Romero Jr., Lawrence "Jr" Sanchez, Veronica Pohl (Paul), Valene Gonzales (Vince), and Katherine Stalker (Jesse). He also leaves behind great-nieces, great-nephews, and his devoted life partner Loryane Luna. The bonds forged within this circle of family are indelible; their love for Boom is immeasurable.

 

Boom's absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious spirit brightened countless lives; he was truly loved by many.

 

In celebration of Boom's remarkable life, a memorial service will be held on January 19th, 2024 at 10:00am, at the San Ysidro Parish, located at 5015 Corrales Rd, Corrales, NM 87048. This gathering will serve as an opportunity to honor Boom's life, reminisce on cherished memories, and find solace in the collective embrace of those who loved him.

 

Boom's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all he left behind. May his soul find eternal peace.
